Description

Our high air flow vacuum system allows for the UniMove to lift many porous bags that low airflow or hard vacuum can. We utilize a standard bag suction foot with our unique flexible gasket that clings to uneven surfaces and ensures a solid grip each time. Within a matter of minutes, any operator can learn to move bags quickly and safely with our ergonomic bag lifting solutions.

Paper Bags

Due to their porous nature, paper bags sometimes require a high-capacity unit to accommodate the vacuum loss. An overly floppy, or underfilled bag may also need a screen insert which is installed inside of the bag foot to prevent the loose bag material from sucking into the chamber and choking off the vacuum. Speak to your local UniMove expert for guidance.

Paper Bags with Plastic Liner

The plastic liners in paper bags generally negate the porous nature of the paper bags and allow for a more efficient vacuum. In these instances, we can usually recommend a unit that is matched with the weight of the bags being lifted. An overly floppy, or underfilled bag may also need a screen insert which is installed inside of the bag foot to prevent the loose bag material from sucking into the chamber and choking off the vacuum. Plastic Bags

Plastic bags are a solid material, and lacking in porosity. In these instances, we can usually recommend a unit that is matched to the weight of the bags being lifted. An overly floppy, or underfilled bag may also need a screen insert which is installed inside of the bag foot to prevent the loose bag material from sucking into the chamber and choking off the vacuum. Cloth or Woven Bags

These types of bags typically cannot be lifted by vacuum alone, and require a mechanical end effector. To best determine how to handle your cloth or woven bags, the UniMove test lab would need a sample sent in for testing. Speak to your local UniMove expert for guidance.
